When it comes to education, children are being left behind. A third of American students don't complete high school, and another third of students require remediation upon entering college. These were a few of the statistics shared by Cecilia Retelle, a senior director of policy at the Institute for a Competitive Workforce with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce during a visit to Norfolk on Wednesday. Retelle led a roundtable discussion on the relationship between workforce and education at the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce.
